Our Step By Step Process

At ARF Solar, we ensure a seamless and efficient solar installation experience with our comprehensive process. Here’s how we bring your solar project to life

Initial Phone Call and Electric Bill Collection

Objective: Gather essential information to start the project.

  • Phone Consultation: Contact us to discuss your interest in solar energy and schedule a consultation.
  • Electric Bill Submission: Provide a recent electric bill so our design engineer can analyze your current energy usage and create an initial proposal.

Pre-Design Steps

Objective: Gather essential information to start the project.

  • Phone Consultation: Contact us to discuss your interest in solar energy and schedule a consultation.
  • Electric Bill Submission: Provide a recent electric bill so our design engineer can analyze your current energy usage and create an initial proposal.

Proposal Creation

Objective: Present an initial proposal based on your electric bill.

  • Proposal Preparation: Our design engineer prepares a comprehensive proposal that includes system specifications, estimated energy savings, financing options, and preliminary design concepts.
  • Review: Review the proposal with you to ensure it meets your needs and expectations.

Site Survey and Analysis

Objective: Collect detailed information to refine the system design.

  • Site Survey: Our design engineer visits your property to conduct a thorough assessment, including:
    • Roof Inspection: Evaluate roof condition, orientation, and pitch for optimal solar panel placement.
    • Shading Analysis: Identify potential shading issues from trees, buildings, or other obstacles.
    • Structural Assessment: Assess roof or mounting area to ensure it can support the installation.
    • Electrical System Review: Check the main panel and wiring for compatibility with the solar system.
    • Measurement and Layout: Take precise measurements and layout to finalize the solar array design.

Final Design Analysis

Objective: Refine and finalize the system design based on site survey findings.

  • Design Review: Analyze the findings from the site survey to ensure the system design is optimized for performance and compliance. This includes:
    • Adjustments Based on Roof Condition: Modify the design if the roof condition requires different mounting solutions or additional reinforcement.
    • Shading Corrections: Update the design to account for any shading issues identified during the site survey. This might involve repositioning panels or using microinverters to mitigate shading effects.
    • Structural Changes: Make necessary design adjustments if the structural assessment indicates that the original design needs modification for stability.
    • Electrical System Compatibility: Refine the design based on any changes needed for the electrical system, such as upgrading the main panel or adjusting wiring layouts.

Pre-Approval

Objective: Confirm eligibility and proceed with formal agreements.

  • Eligibility Review: Assess your eligibility for solar installation based on the finalized design and your property details.
  • Pre-Approval: Provide preliminary approval to move forward with formal contracts and permitting.

Contracts and Approvals

Objective: Formalize agreements and secure all necessary approvals.

  • ARF Solar Contract: Review and sign the ARF Solar Contract, detailing terms and conditions, costs, payment schedules, and warranties.
  • Utility Interconnection Contract: Complete the Utility Interconnection Contract with your utility provider to establish the terms for connecting your solar system to the grid.
  • Final Review: Ensure all contracts and documentation are completed and approved before installation begins.

Installation

Objective: Complete the installation of your solar system.

  • Preparation: Schedule and prepare the site for installation.
  • Installation: Install solar panels, inverters, and other system components according to the approved design. Residential systems almost always use microinverters for better performance and flexibility.
  • Inspection: Conduct an initial inspection to ensure correct and safe installation.

System Testing and Commissioning

Objective: Verify the system operates correctly.

  • Testing: Perform thorough testing of the solar system to ensure proper operation.
  • Commissioning: Finalize the setup and ensure the system is fully operational.
  • Training: Provide instructions on system maintenance and monitoring.

Ongoing Support and Maintenance

Objective: Offer continuous support and ensure system efficiency.

  • Monitoring: Provide ongoing monitoring to track system performance and address any issues.
  • Maintenance: Offer routine maintenance services to maintain long-term efficiency and reliability.
  • Customer Support: Provide dedicated support for any questions or concerns.

Review and Feedback

Objective: Ensure satisfaction and gather insights.

  • Follow-Up: Conduct a follow-up to confirm your satisfaction with the installation and system performance.
  • Feedback: Collect feedback to continuously improve our services and customer experience.
